The problems did not end there. Ashmit and Mallika had a showdown when the former tried to pull off a bakra on Mallika. Apparently, choreographed by Channel [V], Ashmit telephoned Mallika, under cover, and called her all sorts of names. He even asked to sleep with her.
It resulted in a furious Mallika staging a walkout from the channel's event.

First came a report that she had been approached by the original girlie magazine Playboy to pose in the nude for their centrespread. Her publicist Parul was quoted as saying: "Given her hot image in India and abroad, Mallika might well consider the offer, but due to her traditional Indian upbringing she is finding it difficult to sign on the dotted line."
That might have put a lid on the subject, but there was more!
It seems the indecent proposal was never really made. According to indiafm.com, Playboy vice-president Bill Farley claimed that the magazine had not even approached Mallika.
